Lib Dem Leader Councillor Jeff Brooks has today unveiled a catalogue of errors making up the 1,000 days West Berkshire Council has been under Conservative control.

"A Thousand Days looks at West Berkshire Council since it fell to Conservative control three years ago", explained Councillor Brooks. "The list of mistakes and delays is endless, ranging from wasting public money, rocketing crime levels and broken promises. The pattern is quite clear - a recurring theme of drift, delay and a complete inability to get to grips with running the council effectively and transparently."

A Thousand Days brings readers up to date with goings on at West Berkshire Council. Deputy Leader of the Lib Dems Roger Hunneman explained the importance of keeping the public informed on how their money was being spent:

"In opposition we have a responsibility to hold the administration to account for their actions - it is depressing that another thousand days like this will pass

before the 2011 local elections provide a chance to end it - just take the events in this document, double them and we have some idea of what the next three years will bring us!"
