"Thatcham schools tour most educational!" - Woodhams

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 19th Oct 2006

Councillor Keith Woodhams threw himself into celebrating the Thatcham Festival of Arts and Leisure by accompanying Alex Payton, Mayor of Thatcham, on a tour of schools in Thatcham.

Councillor Woodhams was taken to look at the students' artwork and given a full tour of Brimpton, Parsons Down, Spurcroft and Thatcham Park schools, which were having open days as part of the Festival.

Councillor Woodhams commented:

"It was an action packed day, where we were either shown round by headteachers or, at Spurcroft, the Head Girl and Head Boy. I would like to congratulate all who took part - the artwork was spectacular and helped add an extra dimension to an excellent festival of arts. We visited a number of classrooms and learned a lot about what is happening in Thatcham schools - most educational! Congratulations to everyone who took part in helping make the festival such a success."
