subway cleaning

At last!

Councillor Roger Hunneman today welcomed the washing down of the ceiling and walls of the Robin Hood Subway.

"I have been fighting to get this done for some time - I am delighted to see that it is now happening, local residents have had to put up with the filth for far too long. The Conservatives have taken a long time to put this into action but I was nevertheless pleased to see the clean up in progress."

The contractors will be cleaning all seven of the Newbury Subways during the next few days. Councillor Hunneman has asked that the cleaning will be done at least three times every year.
