Thatcham North By-election - a thank you

The Liberal Democrats on West Berkshire Council would like to thank all those who voted Liberal Democrat in the Thatcham North by-election last Thursday.

The result was given by the returning officer as follows:

Graham Ernest Reeves 1256

Sheila Margaret Ellison 1431

Result declared at 11.45pm

Turnout 68.6%

The by-election was held because the previous councillor, Liberal Democrat Bob Judge, who is a former chairman of the council and who had served Thatcham North with great distinction for many years, had had to move to Wales and had thought that Thatcham North, and democracy, would be best served by someone who lived more locally.
